Simrit House
The new development in the London Borough of Hounslow consists of two blocks providing sixty-four one- and two-bedroom homes. The site is located on the northern side of Staines Road (A315), to the west of Hounslow town centre in West London, and in close proximity to Heathrow Airport.
Despite its history of commercial activity, the site has been formally allocated for housing by the local authority. We are delivering all mechanical, electrical, and sustainability services, including sitewide energy and sustainability strategies, overheating analysis, U-value and thermal bridging calculations.
The SAP methodology has been used to calculate energy consumption and CO₂ emissions for the proposed dwellings. For all commercial areas, the SBEM methodology has been applied using IES VE software.
Sustainable Design Through Innovation
A fabric-first approach is being followed—incorporating passive design measures such as low U-values, minimal air leakage, and reduced thermal bridging. Active design elements include individual hot water air source heat pumps (ASHPs), 100% low-energy lighting, and mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR).
