1–5 Firgrove Parade, Farnborough
1–5 Farnborough is a residential-led, mixed-use development located in the heart of Farnborough. The scheme involves the demolition of existing structures and the construction of a new multi-storey building comprising 31 apartments and 4,000 sqft of commercial space at ground floor level.
The building sits above a basement level that accommodates car parking, cycle storage, plant rooms, and refuge areas.
We are delivering all mechanical, electrical, and sustainability services, including sitewide energy and sustainability strategies, overheating analysis, and thermal performance calculations such as u-values and thermal bridging. SAP methodology has been applied to assess energy use and CO₂ emissions for the residential units, while SBEM and IES VE software have been used for commercial spaces.
A fabric-first approach is being implemented, with passive design strategies such as low u-values, low air leakage, and reduced thermal bridging. Active design measures include individual hot water ASHPs, 100% low-energy lighting, and mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR).
High-Performance Mixed-Use Design
Combining modern residential living with energy-efficient commercial space, this development champions both comfort and sustainability through thoughtful passive and active design.
